An attempt has been made to identify public bathrooms and places where food and beverages can be purchased. Please keep in mind that many of these facilities (especially those at state parks and town parks) are open on a seasonal basis only. And, these may come and go over time. The State of Vermont prints a bicycle map, Vermont Bikeways, that highlights suggested bike routes throughout the state. There are many other roads not highlighted on this map that are excellent biking roads. The map also lists Bike Shops, Bike Clubs and Organizations, and Tour Companies.It can be obtained free of charge at highway Welcome Centers and most tourist oriented information centers. The map can also be downloaded as a pdf file.
Champlain Bikeways, also prints a map with a bike route around Lake Champlain in Vermont, New York and Quebec. This route is signed, and the map has directions and mileage. In addition, a number of alternate routes and theme routes are included. The map has a price of $5.95, but may also be obtained free of charge from the Vermont Department of Tourism.
